It's easy to make and very fast, perfect for an afternoon snack.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 egg for 3 slices of bread
- 3 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons of golden or fine demerara sugar
- ground cinnamon (or mixed spices)
- 30 g of butter
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Break the egg into a bowl and add the sugar (leave a little for serving)
- beat the egg with a fork and dip the slices of bread in it
- heat the butter and oil in a frying pan
- fry the slices of bread for 2 or 3 minutes on each side until they are crisp and brown
- let them cool a little and sprinkle them with the cinnamon and the remaining sugar
- I sprinkle the cinnamon on the bread at the end, but you can also mix it in the bowl with the egg and the sugar
- If you want you can cut out shapes from the sliced bread
